Brought together through a combined love of photography and being members of the guild of photographers and living very close together Claire and Debbie started working together at the beginning of 2015 when Debbie joined Claire as her second shooter. After a few short months Claire realised that Debbie was far more than a second shooter and they both decided that "The Female Photographers - FWP" should be born, this combination means that instead of the old fashioned lead photographer and slightly inexperienced or new photographer being the second photographer you are getting 2 insured, award winning, experienced wedding photographers who both take the lead on your special day, making sure that every moment of your day is captured with great expertise.
We dont bring our style to your wedding day and make your day our own, instead we showcase our work on our websites showing you all the different types and style and we work with you to fine tune your day the way you want it,
I have always had a passion for photography from being a small child it was in my life, this grew with the birth of my first child 13 years ago when I got my first digital camera, I then started taking photos as a keen amateur photographer about 8 years ago when I bought my first DSLR just after the birth of my third child, this started a long love of digital SLR cameras. I finally decided to throw myself into being a full time professional photographer in February 2013 and have seen my business grow and grow ever since.
I love being able to combine 2 of my biggest passions, taking photos and being around children, nothing makes me happier than being part of the emotions between family members and capturing those perfect memories.
I am 39 and live in South Birmingham with my wonderful husband of 17 years and 3 children, and I couldn't have done any of this without their love and support, not to mention bugging them daily with my camera :) - Claire
I have always been interested in photography, which no doubt stems from my dad’s personal interest when I was a I growing up. I have fond memories of me being on the other side of the camera as it was always made fun, and I now have great photos of exciting times to look back at.
During my school years, I undertook various photography courses but photography remained a part-time hobby for many years.
It wasn’t until the birth of my first child that my passion was reignited. Having nearly lost my son at birth, I wanted to be able to capture and treasure every moment that followed as too quickly children grow and time passes by in the blink of an eye, I now have two beautiful children that are my inspiration for wanting to follow my passion for photography even further.
